Bodh Gaya is a place which should be visited or seen by a person of devotion and which would cause awareness of the nature of impermanence. Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha-to-be, had been dwelling on the banks of the Nairanjana River with five ascetic followers for six years practicing austerities. Realising that austerities could not lead to realisation he abandoned them. His five ascetic companions disgusted at his seeming failure, deserted him and left for Sarnath.

This is one of the four most sacred pilgrimage places for the Buddhists. The other three important places are his place of birth at Lumbini, Nepal; the site of his first lecture at Sarnath, near Varanasi; and the place where he left his body at Kushinagar, near Gorakhpur. Buddhists from all over the world have built temples here in Bodh Gaya.Tibetan pilgrims come here for the winter from Dharamshala. Bodh Gaya is located about 13 km from Gaya, 450 km west of Calcutta, and 90 km south of Patna The Dalai Lama often spends time here.

Tour Details

Day 01 - Arrival at Mumbai
Meeting and greeting on arrival at Mumbai’s international airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 - Mumbai to Aurangabad
Morning after breakfast at the hotel transfer to Airport to board flight for Aurangabad. Meeting on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon proceed for an excursion trip to Ellora Caves. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03 - Aurangabad to Bhopal
Morning after an early breakfast at the hotel proceed to Ajanta Caves. After visiting Ajanta Caves drive to Jalgaon Railway Station to board overnight train for Bhopal. Overnight on board.

Day 04 - Bhopal
Meeting on arrival at Bhopal Railway station and transfer to the hotel for check in. After some relax at the hotel room proceed for an excursion trip Sanchi. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05 - Bhopal to Agra
Morning after breakfast proceed for leisurely tour of Bhopal. Afternoon transfer to Railway station to board superfast train for Agra. Meeting and transfer to the hotel on arrival for overnight stay.

Day 06 - Agra to Varanasi
Morning after breakfast at the hotel proceed to visit Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Afternoon free to relax. Evening transfer to airport to board overnight train to Varanasi. Overnight on board.

Day 07 - Arrive Varanasi
Meeting on arrival at Varanasi Railway Station and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon leave for an excursion trip to Sarnath. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 08 – Varanasi to Bodhgaya
Early morning proceed to River Ganges for boat ride at dawn followed by city tour. After breakfast drive to Bodhgaya. Evening explore temples of Bodhgaya. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 09 - Bodhgaya
Full day free for exploration of Mahabodhi Temple and Niranjana River. Overnight at the hotel

Day 10 - Bodhgaya to Patna
Morning after breakfast at the hotel drive to Patna enroute visiting Rajgir and Nalanda. Arrive and check into the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 11 : Patna to Delhi
Morning after breakfast at the hotel transfer to airport to board flight for Delhi. Meeting on arrival and transfer to the airport to board flight for Delhi. Meeting on arrival at Delhi airport and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon proceed for combined sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 : Depart Delhi
Transfer to the airport in time to board home bound flight.
