Corbett National Park also known Jim Corbett National Park - the first wildlife reserve of India, extending over an area of more than 500 sq km in the foothills of Himalayas . Corbett national park was established in 1936, as the Hailey National Park. In 1955-56 it has changed to Ramganga National Park and finally Jim Corbett National Park in the honor of legendary hunter-turned- conservationist, best known for hunting man-eating tigers and leopards in the Kumaon and lower Garhwal in the 1920s.

Tour Details
Day 1 - Drive from Delhi to Agra to Bharatpur
Early morning leave by surface to reach Agra (around 4 1/2 hours drive). Arrive Agra and commence sightseeing visit to Taj Mahal - visit to the world famous ‘Taj Mahal’ by ‘decorated tongas’. The inimitable poem in white marble, built over a period of 22 years by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Optional : Also visit Red Fort built by three generations of Mughal Emperors starting from Akbar the Great in 1565 AD, which is a masterpiece of design and construction. It housed both the residential Palaces of the Royal family, and the military quarters.
Later drive to reach Bharatpur en route visit to FATEHPUR SIKRI : A fascinating ghost town, lies a little beyond Agra the deserted Red sandstone city that was built by Emperor Akbar as his capital. It was a veritable fairy tale city and its ruins are still in a pristine condition. Set like a jewel in a courtyard of pink sandstone is the marble tomb of the Saint Salim Chisti, enclosed by delicately carved marble screens.
Arrive at Bharatpur and check in at Hotel Eagles Nest. Rest of the evening free to relax from the hectic days travel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 - Bharatpur to Jaipur
Early morning visit Bharatpur Bird sanctuary.
The park supports a population of 375 species of birds, numerous mammals and reptiles. With the onset of winter, migratory birds from all over world come here. They arrive by August and leave in February. Visitors include Coot Snipes, Spanish Sparrow, Red Crested Porhard, Rosy Pelican and Flamingo. The special attraction, however, remains the arrival of the rare Siberian Crane. The park is also rich in Pythons, Spotted Deer, Sambhars, Blue Bull, Black Buck, Jackals, Otters, Fishing Cats, Monitor Lizards.
Return to the hotel for breakfast. Check out and proceed to reach Jaipur in around 3 and half hours time. Check in at HOTEL on arrival.
Afternoon proceed to visit JAIPUR CITY : City Palace Museum - an imposing blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal art. The Museum is resplendent with its collection of robes of royal princes, carpets, an armoury of old weapons, miniature paintings portraying court scenes, battle scenes and procession, Jantar Mantar (Observatory) - an accurate Observatory built in 1726 AD : Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) - a five storeyed wonder with a spectacular pyra midal facade and overhanging windows with latticed screens, domes and spires
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 - Jaipur to Delhi
Morning after relaxed breakfast and check out from the hotel and proceed for an excursion to Amber Fort where you will have a chance to enjoy an elephant ride upto the ramparts of the fort. AMBER FORT : 11 kms from Jaipur - A marvelous example of Rajput architecture with its terraces and ramparts reflected in the Maota Lake below. The magnificent old citadel, a labyrinth of massive walls and towers, shrouds an exquisite marble palace, pillared and carved glimmering with a million tiny mirrors, which create tantalising reflection effect. The ascent to the fort is on gaily caparisoned elephants.
After visiting Amber Fort continue your drive to Delhi and check in at hotel on arrival for overnight stay.
Day 4 – Delhi to Corbett -
Early in the morning met your driver with car at hotel and proceed to Corbett National Park to reach in around 6 hours time. Arrive and check in at HOTEL. Lunch at the resort.
Corbett is a heaven for Tigers as well as its prey, which include four kinds of Deer, Wild Boar and some lesser-known animals. Leopards are mostly found in the hilly areas of the park. Some nocturnal cats found here are the Leopard Cat, Jungle Cat and Fishing Cat. Sloth Bear is found in the lower regions of the park while the Himalayan Black Bear is seen in the higher hills only. The Dole or Wild Dog, though they can be seen in the southern areas of the park along with the Jackal.
Some of the smaller residents of the park are Himalayan Palm Civet, Indian Gray Mongoose, Common Otter, Blacknaped Hare and Porcupine. Elephants are among one of the main attractions of Jim Corbett Park. Along the Ramganga River shores, one can spot the long-snouted, fish-eating Gharial Crocodile and the ‘Mugger’ Crocodile. Also seen on the rocky hillsides is the Ghoral or Goat Antelopes. The Langur and Rhesus Monkeys are well distributed through out the park and warning the whole Jungle with alarm calls when they see either a Tiger or Leopard from tree-top perches.
Afternoon proceed to the jungle for game viewing by Jeep or Elephant.
Day 5 - At Corbett National Park
Early morning and afternoon game viewing by Jeep /Elephant. Meals and overnight at the resort. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 6 – Corbett to Ranikhet
Morning after an early breakfast proceed to Ranikhet in around 2 and half hours time and check in at self arranged hotels on arrival.
Ranikhet: In the Kumaon Hills the hill resort of Ranikhet is 59 km from Nainital and 50 km from Almora. Near the hill resort of Ranikhet there are several other places of tourists interest. At around sixty km from Ranikhet is another hill resort of Nainital. It is well connected through road network with Nainital, Almora, Delhi and other tourist places in Uttaranchal.
Day 7 – At Ranikhet
Full day in Ranikhet.
Day 8 – Ranikhet to Delhi
Drive to Delhi in around 7 hours time and drop off hotel or Airport on arrival to board homebound flight.
