Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive Kolkata
Meeting on arrival at Kolkata (Calcutta) and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon city tour of Kolkata which includes visit to the Fort William, Victoria memorial, the Indian museum, St. Paul's cathedral, Birla Planetarium and the Botanical gardens. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 - Kolkata to Siliguri via Bagdogra, by air
Moring after breakfast at the hotel transfer to Kolkata airport to board flight for Bagdogra. Meeting on arrival and transfer to Siliguri and check into the hotel. Afternoon visit the New Jalpaiguri loco shed. Watch the engine drives preparing engines, some of which were originally built in Glasgow.

Day 3 - Siliguri to Darjeeling, board Toy Train, 88 Kms/8hrs
Morning transfer to New Jalpaiguri railway station and board Darjeeling Himalayan Railway at 09:15hrs. Arrive Darjeeling and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the evening free. Your car and driver will carry your baggage in the car and will run parallel to the train. In between you can jump onto the car and than to the train and you will have ample opportunity to take photographs by changing the ride between the car and train.

Day 4 - Darjeeling  
Early morning visit Ghoom Monastery to see one of the largest statues of the Maitreya Buddha, Himalayan Zoo and Natural History Museum, which has a fine collection of preserved butterflies, birds, reptiles, insects of the Himalayas.

Darjeeling at an altitude of 7,000 feet. Called the ‘Queen of the Himalayas.’ It affords unparalleled views of the majestic peaks.

Day 5 - Darjeeling
Full day at leisure.

Day 6 - Darjeeling
Full day at leisure.

Day 7 - Darjeeling to Calcutta via Bagdogra, by air
Transfer to Bagdogra airport and fly to Kolkata or Delhi to fly home or chose one of our another trip to suite your taste.
